| | BSW System
The BSW walls are designed to resist out-of-plane soil and seismic
loads. These walls are ideally suited for repair of unreinforced masonry
or concrete basement
walls. The BSW walls are constructed with metal studs, and use SR Foam as
a bearing/anchorage adhesive. As an added benefit, the system
reduces water infiltration and has excellent
insulation properties.
Key Advantages
-
Excellent structural capacity for out- of-plane and in-plane forces.
-
May
be used in shearwall applications.
-
BSW walls provide an additional
R14 insulation value
-
Provides a wall cavity for future electrical wiring,
piping or other mechanical systems.
-
The foam product is code compliant and does not contain CFC blowing
agents or other ODS.
-
Excellent flame spread and smoke density properties. The IC
type foam, tested to ASTM E-108 has a flame spread rating of less than 75 and
a smoke density rating of less than
350.
-
Walls are designed to have a deflection limitation of 1/600 of the
span or to other deflection limits deemed appropriate by the engineer of
record.
