STR System

The STR System is specially design to be used in limited access locations of high load requirements.  The STR System provides exceptional load capacity by utilizing a highly adhesive bond to wall.  Since wall studs are within the foam filled cavity, the cellular plastic laterally braces the reinforcing wall studs. This maximizes the strength of the reinforcing elements.

The STR system provides resistance to both out-of-plane and in-plane wall loads.  

The STR system is similar to the TR system except the cellular plastic is filled into every other stud bay.  This method allows for electrical, mechanical and plumbing installation without sacrificing strength.

• The foam product is code compliant and does not contain CFC blowing agents or other ODS
• Excellent flame spread and smoke density properties.  The IC type foam, tested to ASTM E-108 has a flame spread rating of less than 75 and a smoke density rating of less than 350.
• Allows electrical and mechanical systems to be placed in key areas of the wall.
• Foam material within the stud cavity provides additional bracing to reinforcing members and allows them to be designed to a higher efficiency.
• Walls are designed to have a deflection limitation of 1/600 of the span or to other deflection limits deemed appropriate by the engineer of record.
